The Ornamo Award is a prestigious recognition for designers that highlights the top design talent each year.
The Ornamo Award is given annually for outstanding achievements in design excellence, development, management, or design utilization. Founded in 1911, Ornamo Art and Design Finland is the oldest community for design professionals in Finland and the Ornamo Awards have existed since the early 1960s.
Antti Pitkänen is being recognized with the Design Pioneer Award which is given to a courageous decision-maker.
The Design Pioneer Award winner is a design leader who has successfully built an organization’s design culture and has an exceptional ability to create a working environment that encourages development and growth.
Comments from the Ornamo jury: “Antti Pitkänen is awarded for his insightful work as a design director and his humane grasp on applying design in the work environment of different sectors. The jury felt that Antti Pitkänen is a true pioneer in his sector as a developer of work environments at a time when work is undergoing a societal change.
The jury felt that Antti Pitkänen’s company Agile Work integrates design methods with digitalization possibilities in a particularly commendable way. With his design work, Pitkänen has accelerated company growth through comprehensive enhancement of employee, work environment, and customer experiences.”
Antti gives thanks to the Ornamo jury for this honor and shares the recognition with the whole Agile Work team.
