Tell me, how did you end up as a workplace designer?
From a very young age, I knew I wanted to be an interior designer and one could say I’m very determined. I think I was around five years old when I used to comment on colours and materials at our home. So I was a mini interior designer as a kid.
Studies gave me a great foundation to build on. After graduation, I have been able to work in design and project management on a very extensive scale. I also have an endless desire to learn new things and I enjoy new challenges. I’ve always had a strong desire to grow professionally and I’ve been given a lot of responsibility from the beginning of my career.
What drives you?
Primarily in design, I am interested in the functionality. How the space works, what functions are needed and how users are going to use the space. A beautiful space is not pleasant if it is not functional. Visuality is still an important part of my work and it is also an important part of creating comfort, well-being and workplaces that feel good. The balance between functionality and emotions it creates really distinguishes a well-designed space.
Why Agile Work?
I really like the future-orientated approach. Agile Work has a unique approach to workplace design with a strong future perspective whilst still managing to create workplaces that support a sense of belonging and wellbeing.
Agile Work’s organisation structure makes it possible for me to grow and learn more outside my role as a workplace designer. I was looking for a place where I could challenge myself and constantly learn new things. I feel that Agile Work offers just that.
What would your dream workplace be like?
The work environment of my dreams would really take into account the needs and wishes of the user. For me, it would be important for the office to be a multifunctional and flexible space. There would be their own areas for different work tasks, retreat areas, project areas, meeting rooms and areas for quiet work in the office.
How do you relax?
My big resources are my friends and nature. I am often found with my friends touring galleries, exhibitions and hiking trails.
