New Spaces for an International R&D Company

Bluefors anticipated rapid growth and launched a comprehensive space transformation project at its Helsinki Pitäjänmäki site in 2018. The second floor of the industrial hall was converted into office and production spaces, while simultaneously aiming to develop a work environment that supports the formation of a new corporate culture. Agile Work was responsible for project management consulting, interior architecture, and functional design, creating a workplace that reflects the identity of an international research and development company.

Key Renovation: Shared Spaces and Modern Workplace

A significant renovation was the opening of a new shared staff restaurant in June. It functions both as a dining area and a multifunctional event platform, equipped with cutting-edge technology. The space promotes interaction, enhances visitor experience, and increases transparency in the company’s operations. In addition, the old private offices were replaced with an open-plan office, featuring both shared meeting rooms and individual workspaces, all of which are available for staff booking.

Innovative and Visually Striking Workplace Design

The spatial concept created by Agile Work was realized using customized solutions, where brand colors and material design were combined into a high-quality, visually striking whole. 3D visualizations and a VR model enabled immersive experiences and precise planning, which formed the basis for finalizing material selections and details. The project won the 2022 Workplace Achievement Award in the main category- a true recognition of its high-quality and innovative execution.
